Beta Days

I was not in the beta times of Animal Jam, but I have heard a lot of stuff about it. I personally think beta was better than it is now, because Jamaa was full of happiness, and there were no scammers. No one worried about rares, and everyone just wanted to make friends. Now it is different. People obsess about their rares and scam others for rares. This is not the Jamaa I want to live in. Here are some pictures of Jamaa during beta times.

As you can see here, Jamaa Township was pretty much deserted. The buildings looked a little prehistoric, and there is a big stone gong-type thing in place of the board. I also noticed that there is a sign pointing toward where Club Geoz is now, but it has a clothing sign on it. Maybe that building was Jam Mart Clothing back then.

Look how beautiful Crystal Sands used to look! There were many caves and even a volcano in the sky. There are lots of flowers and palm trees, and a river flowed through the sand. It was actually a beach, with no water slides. The water and sand are sparkling, just like crystals. That's probably why they call it Crystal Sands. Now the water or sand isn't as magical looking, sadly. Captain Melville's Juice Hut is still there, though.

Here is the den that was available for beta testers. It had three floors, and a bridge! I wish there was a den like that now :(. The furniture icon was different. Apparently, this picture was taken before furniture was available! Also, notice the icons on the top of the screen were different. Some were gray, and one is a shovel and pick ax. Also, the Journey Book icon is different.

Here is a picture of what was sold in "Jam Mart." Now it says "Jam Mart Clothing" when buying clothes and "Jam Mart Furniture" when buying furniture. Also, some items on here are not sold anymore, like the scary bull horns, even though you can get them in the Claw at the Trading Party. Plus, the items look way different. Even though the items' looks were changed recently, these look really different. [Also, sadly, that winter hat is not sold anymore in the Hot Cocoa Hut :(.] I personally think the items looked cuter back in beta. Aww! Just look at the Monkey and Panda Hats! :)
